“Dedicated
to Excellence in Innovation, Research, and Partnership”
The LSP Suite is a 3-D
electromagnetic particle-in-cell (PIC) code designed for large scale
plasma simulations. The code calculates the interaction between
charged particles (electrons and ions) and external and
self-generated electric and magnetic fields. The code started with
SBIR funding in 1995 and became commercialized in 2002. Some current
applications are E-beam driven radiography, pulsed power accelerator
design, heavy-ion fusion, KrF e-beam pumped laser, petawatt
laser-plasma interaction, and plasma reactor.
The LSP Suite code runs on Windows and Linux, and on serial and
parallel computers. It consists of a graphical user interface GLSP
to input geometric and other parameters, a physics code LSP which
runs the calculation, and a graphical postprocessor P4 for viewing
results.
